ABOUT
ME
I've been working as a professional actor since 2005, performing in numerous theatres in America and Britain, including New Stage Theatre in Jackson, MS; City Lit Theatre in Chicago, IL; the Crescent Theatre & the Birmingham Hippodrome in Birmingham, UK; Proper Job Theatre in Huddersfield, UK; Acadiana Centre for the Arts in Lafayette, LA.
After working as a company member over multiple seasons in the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in Lousiville, KY and the prestigious American Shakespeare Centre in Staunton, VA I decided to pursue an academic career focusing on Shakespeare.
I graduated with distinction from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with an MFA in Acting: The British Tradition in 2016. I recently successfully defended my doctoral thesis through the University of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, UK. My dissertation, Embodying Shakespeare, combines Shakespeare's Original Practices with psychophysical acting. The thesis and the work of Have Bard, Will Travel share the same theoretical and philosophical background.
I graduated with Highest Distinction from the Louisiana Scholars’ College with a BA in Humanities & Social Thought, and Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern State University with a BA in Theatre.
